What’s new in Summerville? Spring 2023

Summerville, South Carolina continues to grow with new places opening now and plans for others to open soon!

Tractor Supply

Have you noticed the new construction on Dorchester Road near the Bacons Bridge intersection? The land is cleared and a large building which will soon be a Tractor Supply Company has emerged! The new store will include a garden center and outdoor shopping and display area. Originally, it was posted that completion would be by the end of the year, but seeing the rapid progress of construction I am thinking it will be sooner than later. However, a quick search revealed no definite opening dates and the location is still not listed on the company’s website. Fingers crossed maybe we will see an opening date later this summer or even in the fall.

The Pickle Bar

The opening of new restaurants and gathering places is always super exciting. Imagine how I felt when I saw info about The Pickle Bar, soon to be located in Nexton Midtown, land in my email a couple of weeks ago. This establishment, as you probably guessed by its name, comes pickleball themed. There will be pickleball courts as well as a modern atmosphere for southern inspired food and beverages. It will also include an event space for up to 50 people where you get access to your own private pickleball court! Reading about this has me super excited and I’m getting TopGolf vibes…of course exchanging the golf part with pickleball! Slated to open sometime this fall, feel free to read more about this on the Nexton Website here.

The Azalea Bar: The Champagne Room

One of our favorite spots for a classy cocktail has expanded and opened The Champagne Room. The opening is a bit mysterious as other than a post announcing it on social media, there wasn’t much other information posted. However, we attended a Realtor Happy Hour Event at the Azalea Bar the week after it opened so I was able to get the scoop.  From what I gathered, you can order any of the Azalea Bar’s cocktails in the Champagne Room, but you can only order their bubbly based drinks in the Champagne Room. The room comes with its separate menu of bubbly drinks and delightful snacks. I can’t wait to get some girls together (this is me Brittnay btw….) to partake in a few glasses of bubbles and enjoy this beautiful chic space. I love the vibe and décor of the OG Azalea Bar…very rich, masculine and old world but with modern touches. The Champagne room is a great contrast to that. It’s light and airy and very feminine. Check a few of the pics I snapped when I took a quick peek in the other day!

Hopefully you are just as excited as I am about these new developments! Stay tuned for more happenings and openings around Summerville!
